South and Mid Wales Guided Tour

We begin from Cardiff and take in these highlights before returning to Cardiff. Other start points can be by arrangement. Overnights in bold:

Join us on a 4-day guided tour exploring the beautiful sights of Wales.

On day 1, we will start our journey at the Big Pit Mining Museum, where you can learn about the rich mining history of the area. Next, we will visit the scenic Brecon Beacons and the charming town of Hay on Wye, known as the Town of Books. We will also explore the breathtaking Elan Valley and visit Devils Bridge before ending the day in Aberystwyth.

Day 2 will take us to the coastal town of New Quay, followed by a visit to St David's and the picturesque Bosherston Lily Ponds. We will then relax on the stunning Broad Haven South Beach and explore the quaint town of Tenby.

On day 3, we will discover Laugharne, visit the stunning coastal villages of Llanstephan and Llangennith and witness the magnificent landscapes of Rhossili. We will also explore the vibrant city of Swansea and the beautiful Mumbles.

Finally, on day 4, we will visit the enchanting Pontneddfechan waterfall, Sgwd Gwladys, the historic Cyfarthfa Castle Museum, and the impressive Castell Coch.

We can try to add into the itinerary others places that you want to go to, if they are not too far off route. We will have time for the Wales Coast Path and the wonderful beaches of South and West Wales. Castles and ruins and quaint villages abound as do stunning landscapes and engaging heritage.

We travel in a seven-seater vehicle and the fully insured driver/guide will ensure safe and pleasant transport from highlight to highlight, stopping off for photos and rest stops along the way.

We will overnight in quality hotels which will provide a full breakfast for guests. Sit back, relax and enjoy the best of Wales.

North Wales Guided Tour

We begin from Chester and take in these highlights before returning to Chester. Other start points can be by arrangement.

Embark on a captivating four night day of North Wales, immersing yourself in the rich history and breathtaking landscapes of this enchanting region.

Day 1 – Chester ➝ Conwy & Llandudno (Castles + Seaside)

  • Morning: Depart Chester → Conwy
    • Explore Conwy Castle (UNESCO fortress)
    • Walk the medieval town walls (1.2 km circuit with estuary views)

  • Afternoon:
    • Stroll Conwy harbour and see the "Smallest House in Britain"
    • Visit the Great Orme Copper Mines – largest Bronze Age copper works in the world
    • Short drive to Llandudno – Victorian seaside town, walk the pier and promenade

Day 2 – Conwy ➝ Anglesey ➝ Caernarfon (Castles + Coast)

  • Morning: Drive to Anglesey
    • Visit Newborough Forest & beach walk to Tŵr Mawr Lighthouse
    • Bryn Celli Ddu Burial Chamber – Neolithic tomb
    • Stop at the village with the longest name in Wales

  • Afternoon:
    • Cross the Menai Strait to Caernarfon
    • Explore Caernarfon Castle (UNESCO, royal connections)
    • Walk the harbourfront and Caernarfon's old town

Day 3 – Caernarfon ➝ Beddgelert ➝ Betws-y-Coed (Train + Mountains)

  • Morning: Scenic drive into Snowdonia
    • Stop at Beddgelert – pretty village with Gelert's Grave and riverside walk
    • From Porthmadog take the 10.40am West Highland Steam Train – 45 min scenic ride through Snowdonia to Blaenau Ffestiniog

  • Afternoon:
    • Scenic drive via mountain passes (Llanberis or Nant Gwynant) to Betws-y-Coed
    • Explore Betws-y-Coed – riverside walks, stone bridge, forest trails

Day 4 – Betws-y-Coed ➝ Denbighshire ➝ Chester (Water!)

  • Morning: Depart Betws-y-Coed
    • Stop at Swallow Falls waterfall
    • Drive to Llangollen – home of the International Eisteddfod
    • Walk across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (UNESCO)

  • Afternoon:
    • Scenic drive back to Chester, arriving mid-afternoon
