Our All Wales Guided Tour

Day 1: Exploring Cardiff and Coastal Gems

Begin your Welsh adventure with a visit to Castell Coch, a fairy-tale castle nestled in the lush Taff Valley. From there, we'll head to Mumbles, a charming coastal village known for its scenic beauty and vibrant atmosphere. Continuing we'll journey to Llangennith and Rhossili, two picturesque villages on the Gower Peninsula. Enjoy the stunning views from Rhossili Bay before heading to Laugharne, a town that inspired Dylan Thomas's work. Finally, end your day in the historic town of Tenby, known for its colourful houses and sandy beaches.

Day 2: Coastal Wonders and Historical Sites

Start your day with a visit to the serene Bosherston Lily Ponds and the beautiful Broad Haven South Beach. Explore the tiny city of St David's, Britain's smallest city, and discover its magnificent cathedral. We'll continue our coastal journey to New Quay, a delightful seaside town, and then to the lively city of Aberystwyth. Enjoy the evening by the sea and indulge in local cuisine.

Day 3: Mountains, Villages, and Historical Marvels

Explore the scenic town of Dolgellau before heading to the enchanting Portmeirion, a picturesque village designed to resemble an Italian town. Discover the beauty of the Llyn Peninsula, followed by a visit to the majestic Caernarfon Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 4: Unique Locations and Mountain Adventures

Visit the town with the longest name in the UK, Llanfair­pwllgwyngyll­gogery­chwyrn­drobwll­llan­tysilio­gogo­goch, before exploring the historic Anglesey island, including the remarkable Newbrough Grange. Take a scenic ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway in Llanberis and explore the surrounding area.

Day 5: Nature and History Collide

Discover the charming village of Beddgelert surrounded by Snowdonia National Park. Explore the Blaenau Ffestiniog Slate Mine and the quaint town of Betws y Coed. Visit the serene Elan Valley, known for its reservoirs and abundant wildlife, before ending your day in the peaceful town of Llandrindod Wells.

Day 6: Cultural and Natural Highlights

Embark on a journey to the breathtaking Brecon Beacons National Park, offering stunning landscapes and outdoor activities. Visit Hay on Wye, the famous Town of Books, and delve into literary wonders. Explore the mining heritage at Big Pit and experience the spiritual ambience at Tintern Abbey. Conclude your day in the historic town of Chepstow.

Day 7: Historic Marvels and Roman Remnants

Explore the medieval marvel of Chepstow Castle before heading to Caerleon to witness the well-preserved Roman Amphitheatre and other ancient ruins. Visit the impressive Caerphilly Castle, one of the largest castles in Wales, and immerse yourself in the history of Llancaiach Fawr Manor, a Tudor manor house frozen in time.

We travel in a seven-seater vehicle and the fully insured driver/guide will ensure safe and pleasant transport from highlight to highlight, stopping off for photos and rest stops along the way.

We will overnight in quality hotels which will provide a full breakfast for guests. Sit back, relax and enjoy the best of Wales.

We can try to add into the itinerary others places that you want to go to, if they are not too far off route. We will have time for the Wales Coast Path and the wonderful beaches of North West Wales. Castles and ruins and quaint villages abound as do stunning landscapes and engaging heritage.

PLEASE NOTE: All tours are inclusive of admission to attractions, transport, accommodation and a professional guide. Tours depart from Cardiff National Museum or almost any other UK location by arrangement. Tours are 9am start on day 1 and finishing at 4pm on day 7. Where an attraction is closed an alternative will be included. These tours take place in all weathers and appropriate clothing ought to be available. Lunch and evening meal are not included.
