Aberfan Memorial
The Aberfan Memorial is a poignant reminder of one of the worst tragedies in Welsh history. On October 21, 1966, a colliery spoil tip gave way in the village of Aberfan, causing a horrifying landslide that engulfed the nearby Pantglas Junior School. The disaster claimed the lives of 116 children and 28 adults. Today, the memorial stands as a solemn tribute to the victims and a symbol of remembrance. The memorial garden is a serene place where visitors can reflect on the lives lost and the impact this tragedy had on the community.

Rhondda Heritage Park
The park is a captivating place that showcases the rich history and heritage of the Rhondda Valley. Castell Coch
Castell Coch, also known as the Red Castle, is a magnificent Gothic Revival castle located in South Wales, near the city of Cardiff. The castle has a rich history that dates back to the 13th century when it was originally built by the Normans. Over the centuries, it underwent several renovations and changes in ownership. In the 19th century, the castle was completely transformed by the famous architect William Burges, who turned it into an extravagant palace for the third Marquess of Bute. The stunning red exterior, ornate interiors, and intricate woodwork make Castell Coch a true architectural gem. PLEASE NOTE: All tours are inclusive of admission to attractions, transport and a professional guide. Tours depart from Cardiff National Museum or your hotel by arrangement. Tours are 9am to 6pm. Where an attraction is closed an alternative will be included. These tours take place in all weathers and appropriate clothing ought to be worn. Food and drinks are not included. The ticket is non-refundable.
